The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2026 announced its theme name “Da Nang - United Horizons - Connecting Horizons”, following a meeting to report on the draft organizational plan held on the afternoon of January 7, 2026 at the Da Nang City People's Committee.

DIFF 2026 is scheduled to take place from May 30th to July 11th, 2026, with the theme “Da Nang – United Horizons”. Accordingly, DIFF 2026 conveys the message of a new Da Nang after the merger of Da Nang city and Quang Nam province. The theme expresses the close combination of nature, cultural symbols – architecture – tourism and the modern spirit of a connected destination, preserving national identity, embracing cultural exchange, and striving for development in the new era.

Therefore, the themes of the six competition nights will follow the trajectory of a new Da Nang's development journey, with a new position, potential, and mindset. The names of the competition nights are, respectively, Nature, Heritage, Culture, Creative, Vision, and United Horizons.

According to the draft plan, DIFF 2026 will have 10 participating teams, including: (1) Da Nang Fireworks Team – Vietnam; (2) Z21 Vina Pyrotech Team – Vietnam; (3) China Team – Jiangxi Yangfeng Art Fireworks Display Co., Ltd; (4) Italy Team – Martarello Group S.R.L; (5) Germany Team – Josef Steffes – Ollig Feuer Werk GMBH; (6) Portugal Team – Macedos Pirotecnia Lda; (7) France Team – Lux Factory POK 2.0; (8) Japan Team – Tamaya Kitahara Fireworks Co., Ltd; (9) Macau Team – Apple Pyrotechnics (Macau) Co., Ltd; (10) Australia Team – Skylighter Fireworks. Thus, DIFF 2026 will have up to 4 newcomers, promising many surprises in this year's competition.

Similar to the 2025 competition, DIFF 2026 will take place over six nights. The fireworks display will be held in the Han River Port area; the main viewing area and stage will be on the sidewalk of Tran Hung Dao Street, opposite the area and stage used in previous DIFFs.

With the theme “United Horizons,” DIFF 2026 promises not only spectacular fireworks displays showcasing international excellence, but also tells the story of a new Da Nang expanding its development space, broadening its vision, and connecting more strongly with the region and the world. In the sky above the Han River this summer, the fireworks will become a symbol of the spirit of exchange, integration, and the aspiration for further growth of Da Nang – a destination confidently entering a new phase of development with its own unique identity and expansive horizons.
